  • Creation of Association Technique de l’Importation Charbonnière (ATIC)

1947   

  • Opening in New York of the North American agency of ATIC     
  • Opening of the Polish branch in Swinoujscie
  • Birth of the seaborne transport pole of activity

1949

  • Creation, under Dutch law, of the financial  holding Manufrance through  which ATIC was able to invest in the ARA ports.   

1957    

  • Creation of the company OVET, in the mouth of the Scheldt River 
  • Birth of the port handling pole of activity in the ARA zone.

1973  

  • Creation of the EMO/EKOM terminal in Rotterdam
  • Opening of the South African agency in Johannesburg

1977   

  • Opening of the Asia- Pacific agency in Sydney

1995   

  • Creation of ATIC Services

1996  

  • ATIC Services becomes the majority shareholder in CFNR
  • Birth of the inland waterways logistics pole of activity

1999    

  • Acquisition of 17.4% in SOCOR
  • Birth of the quality control pole of activity
  • Acquisition of SCI in Germany
  • Birth of the sourcing pole of activity

2000   

  • OVET acquires 50% of OBA, in Amsterdam

2001   

  • Creation of CEMP in Fos sur mer (directly linked to the acquisition of new bulk handling  facilities)

2002   

  • Creation of Sosersid
  • Birth of the port handling pole of activity in France

2003   

  • ATIC Services becomes the majority shareholder in OVET, with 66% ownership
  • Transformation of the North American agency into an American registered company and  creation of CITA Logistics
  • Creation of BMA, in the Netherlands and of APS in Belgium
  • Creation of STE in Dunkirk and strengthening of the port handling pole of activity in France

2004    

  • ATIC Services increases its ownership in SOCOR to 34%
  • Acquisition of 50% of BBCT in Belgium
  • Strengthening of the sourcing pole of activity

2005   

  • All traditional operational activities of ATIC Services are regrouped into specific subsidiaries. Restructuring of the Group into five poles of activities

2006/2007  

  • Acquisition of SOMEF in Belgium; strengthening of the inland waterways pole of activity; 
  • Development of partnerships:  in Poland with Energia 21 and in Chile with Odisea

2007/08 

  • Acquisition of 50% of SMET (Brussels). Strengthening of the port handling pole, inland waterways.

2008   

  • New executive Management  
  • Opening of a new office in Mackay, Australia, directly attached to the Asia-Pacific Agency.

2009    

  • Acquisition of Provaart
  • Creation of ATIC Services Finance SA in Brussels

2010

  • Creation of a Shipping Agency in Norfolk - CITA Shipping Agency
  • Acquisition of Deschieter
