The traditional core activity of this division is primarily to perform manual sampling of coal and ores, draft surveying of barges and evaluation of stockpiles quantities.
Moisture and sizing analysis are usually performed on site. For all other analysis, ATIC Services uses its laboratories in which the Group continually invests to ensure that they remain state of the arts in all aspects and that even the more complex analysis, if requested by customers, can be performed.
Ever since its inception, the Group has offered Quality control as a service. Its teams of inspectors are well respected for their skills and their ability to adapt to any requests from their clients, including the most complex ones, in order to determine to the best of their knowledge the type of cargo they are working with.
More recently ATIC Services has worked at developing new expertise in the field of stockpile management; this has enabled the Group to respond constructively to its customers’ new requirements.
ATIC Services’ laboratories are located in Europe and in the United States. The evolution of the quality control sector, marked by major concentration within the sector and by new needs from customers, has led ATIC Services to restructure this activity by regrouping under SOCOR and Bulk Testing International all its services involving quality and quantity control. Traditionally centered on coal, this pole of activity diversified over the years and the laboratories of the division are now are now able to analyse various products, such as solid fuels, silts, soils, water or waste.
