TRANSPORTING BULK CARGO FROM SUPPLIER TO END USER

Head of this division: Alain PORRI

Seaborne Logistics has been part of  ATIC Services’ core activities  ever since its creation and thanks to the  undeniable know-how it has developed over the years, the division has been able to diversify its services in this field, especially by going international.

This division regroups three subsidiaries (ATIC Services, CITA Logistics and BMA).  Each of these subsidiaries offers services linked to seaborne transport:  from shipping agency, back office work to part-cargo line and cargo trans-shipment.

Being represented in the major coal producing countries adds value to services offered by the division:  this allows a daily contact with suppliers and all other actors along the supply chain.

This presence is valuable for easing off any land logistics difficulties between mine to load port; there are not many companies out there offering such services.

Another type of service offered by the division is the part-cargo line; this shared transport solution offers to customers the possibility to buy holds on vessels chartered by ATIC Services.  It is an original and quasi unique system which gives customers the opportunity not to have to bear the cost of a full vessel and the flexibility they need to better manage their stockpiles.

This division provides back-office support and ship agency work within the ARA range, thanks to its subsidiary BMA whose dedicated team assists ATICS Services’ clients to overcome any hurdles they encounter when receiving and trans-shipping bulk cargo. Together, these three subsidiaries falling under this logistics pole of activity handle an annual tonnage of 25 Mt of coal.

In addition, thanks to its highly skilled and experience teams this division of ATIC Services can provide and manage trans-shipment solutions from port to final end users.
For these services, the division works at developing multi annual contracts based on sound long term commercial relationships.
