CUSTOMIZING SOURCING TO SUIT CUSTOMERS’NEEDS

Head of this division:  Alain PORRI

In this activity, the Group ATIC Services can either source the product for its customers or be an agent representing one or several suppliers.

This activity is performed mainly by two subsidiaries of the Group, SCI (in Germany) and BBCT (in Belgium).  As they both have access to a large pallet of coal qualities, they can help coal consumers with different needs (foundry coke to steam coal) ,  in small or large quantities (depending whether they are large consumers or not – power utilities, steel mills of all sizes, and smaller coal users).
In addition, SCI and BBCT are respectively agents for American and Australian coal producers (who supply coals for the steel industry and for power utilities).

To better respond to market needs ATIC Services is always looking at finding new sources of coal.  Also, because of its expertise in coal, ATIC Services is able to propose consulting services and training courses to any players in the energy sector.
Along the same line, ATIC Services is often asked to take part in the writing of articles which find their way into coal and energy related publications.  It also regularly takes part in the organization of conferences on coal.
The active presence of ATIC Services in producing countries, thanks to offices it opened many years ago, is an important and useful tool for the sourcing  activity of the Group.

These offices are located in the United States, Australia and South Africa and also, in partnership, in some importing countries.
